But she's gotten worse and my mom was told maybe 3-4 weeks at most. So she has to go to Michigan (from SC). LO's first birthday and party are next week and I know my mom was looking forward to it but obviously, she needs to go be with her sister.</p> <p>I told DH and I was crying about all of it, the entire situation, including the fact that this is my mom's first and only grandchild and she was looking forward to seeing her turn one. So I know it's stressing her out more because she told me that we would have a small party when she gets back but that she's really upset about missing it.</p> <p>DH has been working major overtime (84+ hours a week) so we were looking forward to using that for debt and putting towards a house. But DH told me that it's more important right now to have my mom at the party so he offered to fly her back for just the day of the party (assuming she thinks she'll be okay to be gone for a day) and fly her back to Michigan.</p> <p>I love him for thinking of that and my mom is so happy that it's an option. </p>
