I took away his "help" of walking the dog in the morning because he is just too loud, I don't mind getting out for the walk first thing now and it is so worth the earlier wake up!

Glad I am not alone, and I am already thinking how different this will be once in our new house (bungalow vs. two storey now)

Oh man! My DH does this too. He woke her up from a nap the other day WHIPPING the shower curtain open (metal rings and rod)...I was like is that necessary?? He was all mad "what do you want me to stay in the shower forever?" ...umm it's definitely possible to quietly open the curtain, not a race! Lol. And he slams his (electric) toothbrush off the side of the sink, slams the doors etc.

Yeah I know how this is. DH's "whisper" is pretty loud and he also shuts the cabinets and doors pretty loudly. I tell him a lot that even though she's asleep in her room, she can still hear things. He's getting better though, especially since he doesn't have to try to whisper anymore with her being so far away when she sleeps.

I hear you. My DH is sooooo loud when making his breakfast and lunch in the morning. All he does is heat up a frozen muffin and make a turkey sandwich, but it sounds like he's banging together pots and pans. I don't get it! I want to offer to do it for him but he's very picky about his sandwiches.

Oh poor you! Making any noise in our house just after bedtime is sacrilege! DH still hasn't learned not to press chewing gum out of foil wrappers though - foil is soooo loud = guaranteed baby waker!

Oh yes. I have had to teach my husband how to close the silently because his version of closing it always woke her up

DH has a loud voice. DS has gotten so used to it, even in our small apartment, that he can fall right asleep, despite it, lol. I think it even soothes him to know dh is home.

I'm hoping LO will be as adaptable, lol. DH doesn't have great hearing, so he's just LOUD...especially when he gets worked up about something.

DD was up lots last night (normal) and has also recently found her voice and as DHs alarm went off this am, I crawled back into bed, explained the terrible night (he of course sleeps through it all, lucky). She was in her crib chatting, squealing, squawking away to herself and we laid there and listening for a few mins before he got up for day to head to work.

I'm all for not tip toe'ing around baby, but this time of day we've learned we walk a fine line of getting her down again versus up for the day.

He could not have shut doors, made coffee, used the blender (kitchen right under her room), oh I could have hurt him, haha.

I sent him a rage text once he finally got out the door, and somehow DD is still sleeping.

Men....lol. (Sorry to the Dads on here, ha)
