I am a very happy WOHM. I feel like our family has a good balance right now. Sure, there are nights when bottles don't get washed, or we don't get all the laundry folded...but we make it work. I am really happy and fulfilled by my different roles! I am glad you're at a place where you have a plan (that always calms my nerves!) and are looking forward to it.<br /> And I just want to offer words of encouragement that there are many benefits for your child when they have a WOHM. I know we see the other perspective a lot (and a lot of us who are happy WOH still wish we could SAH a lot of times) but here are a few things I love:<br /> My LO is really social and plays well with others and independently<br /> She has a great immune system :)<br /> She knows that other people in her life care for her deeply (like her daycare nanny)<br /> They have WAY more toys at daycare that she gets to play with. I had been battling back and forth with myself about what I wanted to do, and after talking to my husband and boss I've decided I will at least attempt WOH. I'm scared! I really don't believe I can handle it...I can barely handle being a wife and working, let alone adding a baby into all of that!</p> <p>But I just got laid off like I do every year because it's the end of the busy season, and I realized how much I will miss my job. So I will be glad to return. He will be born at the end of February and I will be returning to work in May instead of March like I usually do. As crappy as my job is sometimes and how the pay is so low, I still love it and put my heart into it and I would hate to give it up. Hoping I made the right decision! </p>
