I used to nanny and did a few overnight stays from time to time and just charged a flat rate... Since I got alone chill out time around 7-8pm which I never got in my family of eight, I loved staying overnight! We usually figured out a flat rate ahead of time. One family offered to pay me for waking hours and zero for the overnight part and I had to decline... I like my own bed and knew I wouldn't sleep very well in an unfamiliar house, listening for the kids on the monitor. I think we settled on $50 or 60 for the overnight part? Something like that. (considering kids sleep from 7-8pm until 6-7am) </p>
