I loves to read the book "Up the Learning Tree" to my students, and look forward to reading it to my kids. But I thought I'd offer my opinion as a slightly overworked, slightly underpaid, but still in-it-to-win-it teacher. If she is new to the profession and full of hope and positivity and energy and inspiration like most of us were when we started :silly: I'm sure she'd like it. But because you asked, the best presents for me as a 14 year veteran are ones that don't remind me of being a teacher- coffee or Panera giftcards or TJMaxx etc like you were already planning on giving her (again,. very sweet!).
