I'd definitely save it and give it to her later on - a shower gift would be perfect. If I was in her position, I know I'd appreciate the thought, but the reminder of the "branch that should have been" would have been pretty upsetting.</p> <p>As for what to get her right now - when I was healing from my miscarriage, I really appreciated anything comforting. I guess I didn't necessarily think this gift would inherently cause any hurt feelings because of her mc. I think of family trees more for the "upward" remembrance of the generations before me &amp; less so about those to come. But I do suppose it's possible she could have an extra pang of sadness receiving this gift, but there will be many things that will bring that sadness on, most of which no one can prevent.
