Yeah, I can sympathize. I think heartburn was one of the first symptoms I had and it lasted almost the entire pregnancy. No matter what I ate or drank, I got heartburn afterwards. It was so frustrating. Zantac helped, and avoiding sweets helped me. Hang in there...at least you know it's only temporary - mine went away the second I gave birth =)

Yes, it is horrible! I got a bald baby out of the deal too- so I really don't believe the old wives' tale. I had been expecting a little werewolf!

Tums (the strongest ones), then Zantac, and finally my doctor put me on Prilosec, which I could take every other day or so- it worked so well. If it stays bad, talk with your doctor about trying other things, you don't have to suffer for your entire pregnancy. Well, suffer yes, just not from heartburn!

I loved the smoothie tums... They worked sometimes for me. Once in my third trimester my heartburn was so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. I finally felt somewhat better after throwing up from it. I'm the genius that drank Orange juice before going to bed though so I guess I deserved it for being a moron lol. At that point though it didn't matter what I consumed. I could drink water and get heartburn. It's just part of it I guess :( hopefully yours will get better. My LO did have lots of hair though!

I heard eating lots of fruit helps...so I ate tons when I was pregnant. My heartburn only got bad in the middle of the night so I ate tums before bedtime even though I hated it and it definitely helped. Sorry you aren't getting much relief but hopefully it will improve!! if it helps at all, my LO was born with tons of hair and I personally think it is so cute :)

The constant heartburn is miserable, isn't it?! I popped Tums like it was going out of style. I felt similarly about taking Zantac every day and only used it when the heartburn was so bad that I couldn't sleep. I never tried it, but I've heard papaya extract works well if you want to try an alternative remedy. Hope it eases up for you!

heartburn stinks! I didn't have much (i think it's because I had a non hairy baby), but sil had it pretty much throughout her pregnancy (she had a super hairy baby!) and took meds to help with it.
hopefully yours will go away soon!

Tums aren't helping I've been taking zantac but I don't want to medicate everyday....I'm so frustrated... I know it's not going away anytime soon..I've googled how to relieve but it's all the same.... dont eat spicy foods, eat smaller meals, blah blah....but I feel its going to happen no matter what I do :(. just wanted to vent.....
