I have the same problem but with aluminium based deodorants and antiperspirants. I second @ZombieBullfrogHoller: 's recommendation for Tom's of Maine. I've used it for years now without issue.

I've tried many a natural deoderant, and 1. most of them don't work, because I still stink. And 2. yeah, the rash happens to me too!

The one I have now is so far, so good. It's Arm and Hammer Essentials, Fresh scent. And while it's not the most natural of naturals, there's no parabens or aluminum. I got it at a grocery store.

My under arms are really sensitive, maybe try your next one on your thigh or something for a few days to see how your skin reacts. At least then you aren't subjecting your arm pits to rashes.

In the mean time try coconut oil. It will help calm down the discomfort and has some other properties that will help with the deodorant side of things while you heal.

I think you'll need it completely bare for a couple of days :(. I'm allergic to something in invisible dry deodorants and it's like my armpits are swollen and sunburnt. Not fun.

@coacheswife123: I have really sensitive underarms and I've gotten rashes from time to time. What works for me to get rid of the rashes is just to stop shaving and using deodorant until the rash is gone (what I was advised by my doctor). For you, maybe just switching deodorants would help. I've had decent results with Jason Aloe Vera deodorant.

I use Tom's of Maine, either the unscented or the apricot scented, which is my favorite. I really like their lavender, but like I said, ouch. :P

Which brand did you use? I break out like that with certain additives - the ones with lavender especially! It usually takes a few days for it to clear up for me.

You have to try other brands. I had the same issue until I found one that works. Don't worry! Even if it wasn't a natural brand that could happen.

Ok I tried it for 2 days and haven't used since Monday and still have a red itchy rash under my arms exactly were I applied. I've been just using a little powder which works fine since I work inside at a desk and don't really sweat- but seriously when / how do I get this rash to go away. I'm scared to try different natural brands now. This sucks !

Once it clears I'm considering just using my old deo in the mornings- cutting my aluminum exposure in half. :( so disappointed !
