He took care of the pets and actually got some sleep, all he had to sleep in in my room was a glider, and he is worthless if he hasn't slept. The recliner for him to sleep in looked incredibly uncomfortable, and the nurses were so great. I also had him put everything within my reach! Both DS and I ended up being in the hospital for 5 days with other complications and DH had work. He wouldn't have been able to do anything at the hospital and our pets needed care at home, too. I couldn't do it! We actually had my MIL stay with us too which I was wary about but it worked out for the best so that it was easier to switch off sleeping. So I had two people with me!
