I rescheduled. I also had extra envelopes so I already readdressed them. I'm super glad that I hadn't put stamps on them yet!

Try putting them in the freezer and then slipping a knife or letter opener carefully under the flap. I've sometimes had luck with that.

You can get white greeting card envelopes at Walmart. It would be a pain to re-address, but it would probably be the best way to make them look nice. Otherwise, you can steam them open and reseal with tape.

I wouldn't switch, but only because MIL didn't even come to Xander's 1st birthday party, haha.

But you should probably be nice and switch, especially if everyone else can make the new date. And what size are the envelopes? I'd probably just get new ones and re-address them, as much as a pain that would be.

I agree on switching. Maybe carefully tear it up open long the lines, and tape them closed? Not the prettiest thing, but you could use washi tape or even thin rolls of duct tape with design to make it work!

Yeah, since everyone can accomodate, I think you should switch. It's nice for your LO to have her grandmother there.
As for opening envelopes, I've only seen the steaming thing in old movies. :)

LO is turning two this year and this is the second year I've had to change her party. But my MIL was told that she had to work and is really upset that she would miss the party. So far, the people I've asked can still come. Would you move it back a week? Also, does anyone have any tips on opening and resealing envelopes? I have all of the invitations sealed in envelopes and addressed and I would obviously have to change them.
