Congrats, and best of luck at your new job!!

I agree with @mrsmenow: that prepping/packing as much as possible the night before is super helpful the next morning.

I know tons of moms HATE pumping, but honestly, I don't mind it at all at work. It's a nice lil me time to step away from work and catch up on FB, read personal emails, look back at pictures and videos of LO, etc.

@maybebaby: yay! :D So my first day back after LMW was born, I got mastitis :( but I waited way too long for my first pumping session. Plus she was only 7 weeks old so my milk supply was still regulating. But I would definitely recommend building in pumping times that your boobs are used to. I was too ambitious and paid the price!! (I missed my 2nd and 3rd days back.. boo.)

Also, I started watching a new show on netflix streaming while pumping. I started out by reading books on my phone but looking forward to the netflix shows REALLY helped. I started with HIMYM and after I finished those, I moved on to Fraiser and finished that too!

I loved going back (my first time around I was a SAHM) but it was still hard to leave the baby. It will be tough! But it's all normal and a part of it. Every time I got really really sad I either jumped on hellobee or took a break to walk through the galleries. That really helps. :) Or gift shop shopping with your discount! they have some baby stuff and good kid books, too :)

Get as much ready Tuesday night as you can. I find having things done before hand makes things go much smoother in the morning. Especially the first day, the less chaos-the better. Congratulations and good luck!

@maybebaby: I can't tell you how not to the hate the pump, but what I can tell you is not to set unrealistic expectations for yourself. Just one day at a time!

@maybebaby: Congrats!!! :)

Choose your attitude when it comes to pumping. If you sit and think about how miserable you are the whole time you pump, well, you'll stay miserable and dread each session! Try to make it a positive time! I watch videos on my phone, or surf the web. And it's usually snack time for me too! I also put pictures of LO and DH in a notebook in my pumping bag. It's a nice reminder of WHY I am pumping!

Make your life easier but doing as much as you can the night before - lay out your clothes, pack your bags, etc.

J is 5.5 months old, and I am starting a new job on Wednesday after being at home with him. Any tips on how to ease back in/make life easier/not hate the pump? I am SOO excited for this next chapter of my life, but sad to leave J and anxious about balancing it all. Any advice is much appreciated!
