Thank you everyone. I decided to put the courses relevant to my job search and omit the Master's part.

@T.H.O.U.: I completed 12 out of the 31 credits needed to graduate. So not quite half.

It depends. In some fields, like academia, a CV lists everything under the sun and it's acceptable to have one that is multiple pages. But I've read that for most areas, it's better to be as concise as possible, especially if your market is competitive! I might find a way to slip in something about your professional development in a cover letter so it doesn't look like a pass/fail thing, but like you're interested and invested in continuing to grow professionally in your field.

I just helped my cousin on his resume and included the classes. He never finished college and got off track but took classes towards a degree in computer science. So I included something like this "courses taken in computer science and programming at...." He got the job offer and has been working there for 3 months now.

This is a great question! I started my Library and Information Science Master's Degree but never finished. I've never had to apply for another job yet but I'm so grateful for the courses and learned soooo much from them. Because of my coursework, I was published and it opened lots of tools/strategies that enhanced my current field. I would list the courses.

I would omit the Master's program but include classes IF they were relevant to the job.

I would leave it off, but put the relevant coursework you took and indicate that you did not matriculate. Idk how you state classes you audit, but donxt receive a grade/ goes toward a degree but Google should know.

On my resume I have professional development courses listed under "sales training." I imagins you too could have a similar section that applies to your field.

Was it in the field you are applying to? Will not including it leave a gap in terms of time? In general, I would not leave it off and leave an unexplained gap unless you have a long work history. But you will need to be ready to explain why you didn't finish. If your grades were decent, I would include your GPA to ensure that it doesn't look like you were doing poorly and decided not to finish.

It depends on the university. If it's a well-known or prestigious university, include it. It's a feat on its own to get accepted. If it's neither well-known nor prestigious, it might be best to leave it out.

I'm thinking it's more of a black mark to leave it on my resume. It might be more harm than good.

What would you do?

Oh, I've passed my window to complete classes, if I wanted to take classes again. It's not going to happen anytime soon and if I did, I would have to go through the admissions process again.
