my son is 5 weeks and eats about 3-4 ounces of formula every 2-3 hours, not sure what he weighs now but he was under his birthrate at his 2 week visit :( (We at that time were ebf though)

Lol, my son eats about 5 oz of formula and/or breastmilk every 1.5 to 2.5 hours at 3 weeks old. He's only 8 lbs and change, so he's just a hungry beast with a high metabolism we suppose. The lactation nurse said he's definitely genuinely hungry and not just fussy, so we just try to keep up!

LO was 13lbs 2 oz at 2 months. She was eating 5oz every 3 hours as well. She's 10 weeks now and she eats 6oz at some feedings.

Some kids just need more! We'll honestly probably start solids at 4 months because she eats so much. As soon as I see that tongue thrust reflex go, we'll be buying baby food.

My lo was always I the 95th percentile in weight so shes a big girl. And a good eater! I always worry about overfeeding her, but really I know that if she's nit hungry, she spits out the bottle.

Ha! Sienna is 3.5 weeks and 11 lbs. porker you say?
I wouldn't worry too much about it. If he's full he won't eat. My son was the same way!! So I started him on solids sooner then the suggested time. Otherwise all he would do was eat.

DS will be 6 weeks on Wednesday and is taking about 5 oz at every feeding(sometimes more and sometimes less) and stil wants to eat every 2 1/2 hours! I swear this kid would eat all day long if I let him. I know he's not over eating because he doesn't spit up his formula, but I am terrified I'm overfeeding him. He weighs about 11lbs. I swear I've got a little piglet on my hands. I know every baby is different, and it doesn't help that I try to find on the Internet how much he should be eating at this point....it's probably just me being a worriesome first time mom. These kids need to come with instructions! :)
