He only woke up twice last night, whoo hoo! Probably because I took him to a family reunion during the day and he was completely wiped out!

@cmomma17: I WOH too and Its hard. I survive on coffee in afternoon and by evening Im already falling asleep. We co-sleep and I find it easier to soothe him when he is next to me and I can just pat him rather than walking to his crib. The downside is that every little fussiness can wake you up. I think I have trained myself to not get fully awake when he fusses. We plan to transition him to crib by 6 months (he 4.5 mo now) and hopefully sttn. I take comfort in the fact that this stage is just for a few months and things will get better.

Sorry!! No help, just can commiserate. I think it's just a wait it out thing. Once you get through it things are better on the other side. Hang in there.

It just sucks. All I can say is caffeine is your friend. There a couple times that I came home from work, luckily DH wasn't traveling and working from home, so he watched her and I napped. I didn't get any time with her those days but I had to nap. Go to bed as soon as LO does! Hang in there. I hope it passes soon! Ours didn't get better till we sleep trained.

@BabyBoecksMom: no naps at lunch either, I nurse LO at lunch! I don't think it's hunger. If he wakes up after less than two hours I don't nurse him, I elbow DH and get him to comfort LO. He is pretty easy to put back down most times. Usually a pacifier and some shh'ing works without even picking him up. Although at least once a night it takes ten minutes of bouncing to get him back down.

That is such a rough time. I survived with lots of coffee and taking naps in my car on my lunch break. DD was definitely not ready to CIO (and I believe 4 months is too young for them to soothe themselves) so DH had to help me with some of the wakeups.

When your LO wakes up, do you think it's from hunger? How hard/easy is it to put your LO back down?

@babyjmama: oh boy! Can't take any sick days quite yet. Had to use them all up for maternity leave and haven't built much time up yet (need them for dr appointments like LO's checkup at the end of the month). I just don't feel ready to CIO. Don't know if I ever will. LO is EBF and still nurses twice a night so I don't think CIO is helpful there? Plus he sleeps in our room so I still wouldn't get any sleep! Wah :(
