Oh how terrible! I am so sorry. I know many babies and toddlers go through chronic ear infections. Glad to hear this one is not a new one coming in.

@Boogs: No, I never even thought of that, good idea thank you!!
@Smurfette: My MIL told me a similar story that happened to her, ouch :(

Turns out it's just the "end" of the infection creating pressure. I ask everyday up until she finished her meds and she never said it hurt. She's been complaining all day today.

Oh no!!

@Boogs: We need to get one. R's ear drum burst cause her infection when untreated cause she showed NO signs of having one. Didn't even seem bothered by the burst ear drum. Only figured it out cause her ear started smelling.

:( Poor M! Hope it resolves after this visit or that it's not really an ear infection.

Poor LO. :( Have you considered having an otoscope at home? Not to replace a doctor's visit, but it would help confirm your suspcisions faster. We have one and it helped us avoid a visit last time DH had one because he so obviously had one we just had to pick up meds at the pharmacy.

M just finished her antibiotics for a double ear infection this past Sunday. She woke up at 3am happy, wanting to play, eat, basically everything except sleep that is until 4:30 rolled around then she started shrieking and finally told me her ear hurt.

I'm taking her back into her ped's office this afternoon to see what's going on. Her Dad had to have 3 sets of tubes put in and still struggles with ear problems to this day.
