He was so so into nursing. I was worried he would never quit. Slowly setting limits and then being quite gradual in eliminating sessions was the way for us! We just weaned a few weeks ago, at about 26 months. It was pretty easy, after a little rockiness at dropping the second-to-last feed. DD occasionally will ask me "nursing all gone?" to make sure the story is still straight, and I confirm that yes, nursing is all gone - BUT yesterday I explained to her that nursing will come back when baby brother is born, and she was not thrilled to hear that brother will need all the milk for himself. Definitely some pouting. He went to sleep just now for nap without nursing and no tears. He didn't even ask! I told him at lunch, since there is no mommy milk left (18 weeks pregnant) and you are such a big boy, we aren't going to have mommy milk for nap. He didn't really say anything. And he fell asleep in about 15 min! I am so proud. Bittersweet emotions but mostly just proud and happy. :heart: </p>
