Because I used a donor egg, I didn't ovulate on my own this month,so I am on Progesterone injections. I think those are responsible for my sore boobs, but I don't have any symptoms yet. BUT.... I just had the transfer 3 days ago. I think I am going to test on Sunday since my beta is Monday. You ladies are so helpful! I am a nervous wreck! Trying to think pregnant thoughts!

@fotolori1: I tested the day before my beta. I wanted to be prepared and not be blind sided by the news (if negative), especially since I knew I'd most likely be receiving the news at work. I purposely didn't test early, though. I wanted to make sure I didn't get a false positive. As for symptoms...I remember being very nauseous and had sore breasts.

I had symptoms- some cramping and my skin broke out terribly. I tested the morning before my beta and it was positive. I did my beta 7 am and they didn't call with results until 3:30 pm. It was a long day!

@fotolori1: DEFINITELY took a test before my beta every time - I'd much rather find out on my own, in my own house, with a 5 minute delay than spend all afternoon waiting anxiously for a message from my clinic. I waited until the day before my beta, though, because I wanted to make sure I had the best possible chance of an accurate result and no meds left in my system.

Fingers crossed! No experience with donor eggs but try not to think too much about that and just think good pregnant thoughts! I did IVF - I don't know the grade of my egg but I know that I only had one, and that stressed me out, but that single egg is now almost 2. Remember that people who don't do IVF have no idea what the "grade" of their eggs are, they can't all be perfect! If the eggs were lousy they wouldn't have transferred them.

Good luck! Like others have said, I would not worry too much about quality. Each place is subjective and I am not sure how much quality matters. I have transferred 3 near perfect blasts and has no viable pregnancy. On my most recent transfer, we used two embryos that looked "average at best" (so they did not even make it to blast) and I am currently 17 weeks pregnant. Your blasts look beautiful. fingers crossed for you!

I think your embryos look nice! I wouldn't focus on the grading too much. Embryos of all grades make it. :) I conceived with a donor embryo after 3 years TTC so I understand how you're feeling. I hope the TWW flys by for you and ends in positive beta!

So exciting, and nerve racking! I don't have experience with donor eggs but did do IVF that resulted in my twins. Try not to be too discouraged over the grading...I remember my RE telling me that grading can be very subjective and isn't always indicative of success. My fingers are crossed for you...please keep us updated!

I am new to this thread and I am scared to death!!! On Saturday morning we had our first IVF transfer using a donor egg. Our donor was only 25 , I am 41 and we determined that my eggs are poor quality so we moved to this option. Anyway.... my question is this, I don't understand the embryo grading and ours was only graded a "C". I told my dr that our kids get in trouble for C's, so I am not encouraged. We transferred 2 5 day embryos and she said there is a 55-60% chance of pregnancy and a 20% chance of twins, BUT... considering I have had a negative test monthly for the last 3 years, I am scared to death! Are there any encouraging words anyone can offer? Success stories? Etc?
