@yellowbird: definitely still good to have a rectal thermometer on hand. Last time DD1 was really sick she spiked a 104 fever and our ped wanted a confirmed rectal temperature. Thankfully we have one because of baby sister so I cleaned it with a alcohol wipe and used it.
Glad the tepid bath helped.

My LO has strep and only had a low fever (100) and was running around playing, but not eating and way more crabby than usual. She couldn't go to daycare today because of the fever so I took her in to be safe--annnnd its strep! Blah

@regberadaisy: no, I don't have a rectal thermometer anymore. I have an ear one and a temporal artery one. I'm more concerned that she keeps saying everything hurts, but then she acts okay

Did you try calling your ped? I wouldn't worry unless she's fussy/ lethargic. If you are really concerned try a tepid bath and see if it brings her temp down. Are you taking her rectal temp?

Dd has a 102 fever, tummy ache, headache and her knee hurts she says. I have her Ibuprofen and 1pm she took a nap, fever 101, gave her Tylenol at 4:00, fever is 102. She's acting normal and has an appt with her pediatrician tomorrow at 11:30. I've never had a fever not respond to meds before and I'm getting worried.
