He is at a perfect age to understand what is happening and really understand a baby is in my tummy and is going to come out. I do think he may have a hard time adjusting once LO is actually here. I think it was just about perfect, but we'll shoot for closer to 24 months when we try for #3. </p> <p>Honestly, 2 under 2 has been much easier than I thought it would be. If we do decide to go for a sibling, it will be no less than 4 or 5 years from the first's birth. I don't really think the gap made too much of a difference in how close we are-- we are all close, but my older sister and I (4 yrs, 5 in school b/c of birthdays) are by far the closest friends. So, i think as far as them being friends, it can work out good or bad with any gap, but in terms of your own sanity, that's where it comes into place!<br /> We would like our kids to be 2-3 years apart-- seems the most convenient, one is just starting to get out of diapers, you don't really need a full double stroller, just the ride along board or rumble seat.
