We're not doing too badly this year though - had our Samoan holiday in January and we're off to Melbourne next week. In my dream life we would go on a beach vacation once a year, and 2-3 overseas "adventure" vacations a year. And small weekend driving distance trips in between. Reality is one overseas vacation a year and one trip to visit my family on the other coast every year or so. Before I got pregnant we also used to do 1-2 ski weekends as well. We are pretty lucky. Ideally I'd like to do a couple big trips a year, a long weekend trip every couple months, and day trips a few times over the summer and fall. So far this year we did an extended weekend at a hotel/spa over NYE, I went to Florida for week, we're going to go to Lake Winnepesaukee for a few days for our anniversary in May, and I'd like to do 2-3 day trips over the summer. I would've liked to do a summer trip but we need to conserve vacation time for baby's arrival at the end of the year. From what I have done I know I really enjoy it and I FEEL like I could travel a LOT more than we currently do (about once a year). My husband is a major home body and is not the best traveller so he actually stresses me out a bit when travelling. Since being preg, I haven't been interested in getting away at all - I decided I would rather stay home and save the money than go away for 2wks this May.
