@HappyBaker: We did a trip to California last year and had a blast. My kids were similar ages (almost 3 and almost 5). We did Legoland, San Diego Zoo, Disneyland, and California Adventure and had such an amazing time!

Legoland is perfect for smaller kids (like yours) and there are so many rides and things to do. My kids LOVED IT. We also loved San Diego!

Disneyland and California Adventure are across the street from each other making it really easy to go back and forth between the parks. We did Disneyland over Disneyworld because DL is smaller (just 2 parks) making it easier to navigate with little kids.

We did Disney World when I was 27 weeks and it wasn't easy but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We did one day at Magic Kingdom and one day at Animal Kingdom.

My kids are obsessed with Disney world. And I do actually find it kind of relaxing, because someone else is entertaining my kids so I can just sit back and take it all in. But we aren't park open-park close type people. We don't try and do it all every trip.

The disney resorts are SO amazing that you could easily spend lots of days there. Pool days are among our favourites. There's lot of character dining on resorts so you could do some of that without having to step into the busyness of the parks. The new Disney Springs is pretty awesome too and doesn't require admission.

@Pollywog: I didn't even think of that one but looks like we missed the boat (haha) because there are no more sailings for the year!

I'm thinking maybe we could do Disney World but just do two days in Magic Kingdom and then a few days of just hanging at our resort / pool / etc. I don't think my kids are ready for the 5 straight days of Disney type of vacation, but spending a couple in Magic Kingdom might be perfect for them and not as hard physically for me! Thank you guys!

Disney world would be perfect with your kids ages, but fairly taxing on you. Could you do the NYC to Bermuda cruise?

We wanted to do Disney Cruise too but didn’t because of Zika. We went to Disneyland instead and the kids had a blast!

I'm due with #3 in April and I'd really like to take our family on a vacation before baby comes, as I know things will be a little crazy for a while! DD is 5, DS will be 3 in January.

We're on the east coast, and would like to go away for maybe 3-5 nights? I was looking into cruises (both Disney and Carnival) but you can only go before your 24th week plus Zika means its probably not a great idea. That would be my dream though!

If you have any great ideas / have had any amazing trips with kids around the same age please let me know!
