I have three dogs and they're always leashed whenever we go outside. I also do my best to not let them walk on our neighbors' lawns out of respect for my neighbors. They do pee on shrubs/grass at the edge of the lawn, but I do try to keep it as close to the edge as possible to be courteous. I think the issue here is that the dog was off the leash. I don't think this would bother me, except if the dog wasn't on a leash and went wandering into the yard. Granted, we don't own, but I'm not sure how you ladies control when your dogs pee. Poop, yes. But pee- no way. My dogs would never pee on gravel (nor walk on it) and if someone asked me not to have my dogs pee on their lawn I'd probably laugh. There is just so much stuff on/in the grass around here a little pee isn't hurting them. Granted, I try to keep my dogs on the grass between the street/sidewalk and not on peoples' actual LAWNS out of respect.
