So I went to my OB/GYN thinking I could talk about the next steps with her. She told me then that for some people it just takes longer than a year. I asked her to start the testing, with CD3 bloodwork and then began my search for an RE. I wasn't happy being told that, and I felt like I needed to take my fate into my own hands. However, I recently rescheduled for the end of this month because my RE requires an up-to-date pap and certificate of health before starting IVF. Woohoo! Cool! Happy dance! </p> <p>Yeah, 17 months later after being referred to a fertility specialist, still not pregnant.</p> <p>Before TTC, I was very good about getting my annual exam done, but with IF, I've been really bad about it. I don't think I had a pap smear since I started TTC. (Also, I wonder if my fertility dr should remind me because I stopped seeing my Ob/gyn when I started seeing her.)</p> <p>I need to schedule one ASAP. I think I keep thinking that I'll get pregnant soon then months go by with BFNs and the last thing I am thinking about is pap smears. </p>
