EDD or DOB: July 1, 2014. I am currently 27 weeks. What got you pregnant? IVF with ICSI LOs ages and names: Not born yet. Can you still relate to the current IFers? Yes. In some ways, I still feel like I am in the thick of it. I don't think I will actually believe that IVF worked until the baby is born. Did you have IF for other pregnancies? This is my first pregnancy and most likely my only. Anything else to share? Just that this is a great community for IF support. EDD or DOB: 7/17/14 What got you pregnant? our second IUI with injectables and trigger shot Can you still relate to the current IFers? yes of course. still very aware of hard hard it was to get here and don't know whether we will have trouble in the future with he same issues (I had cervical stenosis due to a leep procedure - which is also why I've been on bed rest since 16 weeks for IC) and for maybe the first 12 weeks I almost didn't believe that I was actually pregnant, I was also so terrified of something being wrong or the possibility of loss. Did you have IF for other pregnancies? first pregnancy Anything else to share? just wanted to say keep believing that it is possible and ask as many questions of your ob or re as possible. Planning on trying IVF again in a few months for baby #2 I love supporting others here because infertility is such a hard, painful and financially draining process for so many! Those two years of battling infertility were by far the hardest of my life. I dealt with depression, jealousy (of other pregnant women and babies) and just was in a huge funk a lot of the time. I wish nobody had to go through it! Anything else to share? I know it is so hard, but try to remain positive when you can, because the process won't seem as long and you do have to take care of yourself and still live your life as fully as possible. I can, I still remember how tough it was to want something so badly and to have to go through so much to get it - endless blood draws, invasive exams, medications that can have crazy side effects, etc. But I don't think the IFers can relate to me any more. It's hard to have much sympathy for hearing about a sucky pregnancy or a baby with hourly wakeups when you'd give anything to be in that position. Did you have IF for other pregnancies? We'll see what happens for the second try. I will always have PCOS, so that'll continue to have an impact I imagine. Anything else to share? Relate, yes, but I have definitely stepped away from the active support role I took during and after. We won't try again, so it kind of makes me stay away from ttc stuff in general (because it reminds me of issues), but I still try to help whenever I see someone in a similar position. Did you have IF for other pregnancies? Stopping at 1 for various reasons. Anything else to share? Just that it really does seem like IF is forever, but you will be able to move on eventually . But honestly, the bitterness fades slowly! Find a really good support system! I also advise single embryo transfer except in cases of definite poor egg quality!
