@SweetiePie: I figured I might be the only one (since I'm in the weird limbo of not "trying" yet but still wanting normal cycles )

I finally got CD 1. I'm not sure if I double peaked (ramped up to O once, then didn't actually O until later) or if I just didn't O at all this cycle.

My 7DPO bloodwork showed high enough progesterone that I would expect I ovulated, but still very low for being post peak. I hope my doctor can make sense of it so we can try to make next month's cycle more predictable/shorter. I don't want another 3+ week post peak phase (if that's what happened)...especially considering my gallbladder surgery is just over a month away. One pain at a time please!

@LibbyLou: I still am. I think it helped me that my celiac test was inconclusive and I know it's in my family. I haven't officially tested it to see if I'm intolerant or not, but I'm scared to death of the stuff. I was able to tell when I was accidentally glutened when we first tried it out (soy sauce and twizzlers) so I haven't really wanted to test it. Nothing so far has been "worth" enough to me to risk the side effects.

It probably helps that DH isn't really a sweets guy, so I'm not routinely tempted with things that probably would be tempting (pastries or cookies or the like)

I had hoped I'd lose more weight giving up gluten (carbs used to be my jam!) but it didn't seem to change much. I dropped more weight post pregnancy (I think from upping my thyroid meds) than I did when I gave up gluten.

@MaryM: ugh it feels like it's always something. We probably won't start IVF until Jan too bc of our somethings!

You still doing good gluten free? Someone here recommend doing it for IVF so while I was about 80% GF because of DH I'm making much more an effort now. Since I don't have the issue it makes it harder to do but I just keep saying it'll make me healthier. Now if I could only quit sugar!

@LibbyLou: That's such great news! I didn't realize until recently how freaking scary gluten is.

Update for me, I'm not sure if we IDed 7DPO correctly for my testing since I still haven't gotten AF (it should have arrived about a week ago).

And of course my doctor is traveling tomorrow-Monday, so even if I get AF, my cycle review would be pushed back so many days that it could mean not treating until the following cycle if she wants to do anything pre-peak.

I have a feeling things will be on hold for us until about January. Because once we get my cycle sorted out (another month), then I'm having my gallbladder taken out in November, which I'm assuming will take us out of commission for December.

Update from last week-
DH saw the reproductive urologist today and we got as good of news as we could hope for. He thinks the sudden drop in count and motility was Gluten related. He thinks bc of the severe reaction (migraine, fever, dizziness) it would take two cycles to sort itself out. So 20weeks-ish. SO glad it's something that can be waited out but I want to leave a bad yelp review or something for the restaurant that mislabeled their food! :silly:

I've mostly posted on the 6+ thread, so dipping my toes in here.

Here's my abbreviated history: TTC for baby #1 for 4 years. Normal SA for DH, HSG was clear in May'14, normal CD3/CD21 blood panels. We've done 3 clomid cycles, 2 cycles letrozole + IUI. I had a laparoscopy done 2 weeks ago where I finally got my diagnosis: endometriosis. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow to go over the results/game plan.

If I could only eat 1 candy for the rest of my life it would be M&M's. I looooooove all candy, though. My sweet tooth is my biggest vice!

@LibbyLou: Yes sorry, that's what I meant. I know it wouldn't impact everybody but even someone with celiacs I didn't realize it could possibly have that effect. I'm pretty uneducated when it comes to celiacs, just basic knowledge.

In a weird way I hope that was what happened! Because then at least there's a reason and it's (hopefully) a temporary dip in numbers.

@SweetiePie: he has celiacs. I don't think it impacts "normal" people. And we don't know for sure we are just taking an educated guess bc he had a fever and chills after eating contaminated food!

@SweetiePie: good idea about the testing! Fingers crossed that they are normal!

@marym 3 musketeers are GF and snickers!

Afm
Had my hysterscopy done yesterday and got the all clear. My DH goes in for a cryo tomorrow. We are hoping that this one and the last one put together will be enough to get a good enough sample so we can continue on with IVF. His sudden drop in sperm count is still a mystery (20M to 20,000 in 50days). We are both hoping it's because he inadvertently ate gluten and he had a terrible reaction and it's working itself out. Fingers crossed.

My update - my charting teacher and I were finally able to identify O, so I had my progesterone and estrogen tested yesterday.

No surprise, they're both low. I have a feeling I'll be going back on HSG shots next cycle. Now to have "the talk" with DH about whether we're going to TTC because we're shelling out the money for that, or if we're comfortable with avoiding but paying the money so I can feel more normal (I have WAY fewer emotional fluctuations while on HCG...if you know what I mean. I basically told DH I find him much less annoying. lol)

I talk to my doctor again once I hit CD1...and my charting teacher said that could be any day (that post loss luteal phases are usually not as long), so...ugh.

On top of that, tomorrow is my birthday. So our next good time to talk will likely be a celebratory dinner. meh.

Is fudge candy? Cause I've been loving some fudge lately (dark chocolate salted caramel. yum!)

Most of my old favorites I can't have since giving up gluten. But I love fudge and jelly beans.

For my update, we got our final count of biopsied and frozen embryos on Saturday - 2! Much lower than we were hoping for, considering how many eggs were retrieved. But not totally upset because it's in line with what my RE predicted.
The bright side is that both are "excellent" according to the nurse I spoke to.
Next steps - we decided to go ahead and pgd test the two we have. Like as of last night. Haha. Originally said we'd wait till we have at least 4, but we really want to avoid another cycle if we can.

If I could only eat one type of candy for the rest of my life it would probably be kit-kats! I loooove all kinds of candy but those always get me ;-)

Happy Fall, y'all! I know it's been fall for about a week but this week REALLY feels like fall in NYC!

What's new this week? Reminder this is for ANYONE going through any form/stage of IF. All welcome!

For fun - if you could only eat one candy for the rest of your life, what would it be?
