I'm Korean-American and so is y husband. Our English is WAY better but we can speak read and write in Korean (but Lower elementary level). We speak exclusively to our children in Korean. Minus reading books. I think we try 100% and it ends up probably 80%. We will keep this up as long as we can. I want to teach my children Spanish too as they get a little older (I took it in
Middle and high school)

LO goes to a daycare in a Mandarin speaking home with two Chinese women and a Hispanic woman. She knows some Mandarin and Spanish but I have no idea how much. DD will never say anything in Chinese for me because mommy doesn't know Chinese.

We have a Spanish-speaking nanny. Neither DH or I speak Spanish so we frequently have to google to figure out when DS learns a new Spanish word.

I sought out a Spanish-speaking nanny (who started when LO was 3 months), and now at 22 months LO seems almost as fluent in Spanish as she is in English. I really hope to keep up her exposure to and grasp of Spanish as she grows!

I speak English with LO, Sweetie speaks with him in Ukrainian, and he goes to a Spanish immersion daycare. We have books and music for him in all three languages (plus a smattering of French books from my childhood. I don't speak French well at all, but I grew up in a francophone pocket of New England).

English is my primary language. French is my DH's primary language, so we speak both at home. We live in a German-speaking country so they go to an exclusively German-speaking daycare. My son is going to start elementary school at the French school this fall (where he will also continue with German language classes).

We have a Spanish speaking nanny.

DD also attends a mandarin immersion preschool.

We're really excited at the possibility of introducing them to languages.

She has a book with some Spanish, but it was free so I can't take credit for it. I'll probably have books with different languages in the house, and if she expresses an interest maybe we can learn one together. But since DH and I don't speak anything else (other than horrible high school Spanish), there's no practical way to introduce it young.

I'm Vietnamese, but I'm not fluent. DH can speak Spanish.

We have a few books and toys that have both English and Spanish. Since I have French relatives (and I took French in high school), I have a Usborne book for French words.

I should find one for vietnamese words so I can jog my memory and learn myself. ;)
