So funny that you post this today! My 3yo is about 24lbs and I'm about to turn him (he's already turned in his dad's car). It's just getting tougher getting him in since he's taller.

I wouldn't say LO is "super tiny" but she's 3.5 and 27lbs and still RF. we have no plans to turn her around anytime soon. She gets in and out of her seat without issue so it's not harder to get her in her seat really than FF, she doesn't mind RF, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

We were able to continue to rear face him. Fireman said that we need to watch the height but still have a ways to go. I'm fine rear facing him as soon as he outgrows it, but I am glad to keep him there as long as possible.

We turned my tiny daughter at 2.5, though we didn't have a car at the time...we bought one shortly after she turned 3 and installed her seat FF. 19 month old DD2 will stay RF until she's unhappy that way, since she's also on the smallish side weight wize. I susoect her height will cause us to turn her before 4, though.

My LO is almost 2.5 and has loads of room before she needs to turn, but we will turn her when the new baby is born (any day now) because we can't comfortable ft a RF seat behind the driver.

@Mrs. Lion: I was about to turn her around because it was getting no so hard to get her into the seat benign so pregnant when she figures out how to climb in herself. Game changer for us, though it takes so much longer.

My friends almost 2.5 yo has just met the FF weight requirements- she's just a tiny little peanut! So she could stay RF but my friend is ready to turn her.

We kept LO RF until after his 4th birthday. Turned him when he reached the weight limit for RF of his carseat. My younger one is quite a bit bigger and I think he might actually reach the height limit before weight limit, but depending on his age we will consider whether to get a new carseat or turn him.

We just turned my lo at 3 years 2 months and he is about 27.5 lbs. I wanted to RF until 4 but he outgrew the height limit on his seat. I kind of wish we got a different seat instead because I am super nervous about driving now.

My almost 3 year old is only 25 lbs, and he has been forward facing since around his 2nd birthday. He was right at the cutoff for being big enough to FF, and in hindsight, I wish I had kept him rear facing much longer. But I was extremely pregnant and on modified bed rest and getting him in and out of the car was really difficult, and it was more practical to turn him around. In the grand scheme of things, I really don't think it is that big a deal, but I will probably leave my daughter rear facing much longer.

We stopped at 3 plus a month for no physical reason. 32lbs and 37" was still comfy rf, could have kept him through now (3.5) if we wanted.

How long did/will you rear face? We're headed to the fire station today to move LO2 into LO1's convertible, and moving DS1 to a new carseat. We're hoping to keep him rear facing (he just turned 3), but it will depend how they can install the seats.

LO1 is only 26 pounds and still far below the height and weight limits rear facing. How long were you practically able to keep your tiny little one rear facing?

(He forward faces in my mom's car (turned at 2.5), but seems to have no problems being rear facing in my car).
