E hasn't crawled, isn't really into rolling either. In the last few days has been trying really hard to pull up and is taking steps when we hold his hands when he stands and is totally thrilled about it. Otherwise he doesn't really get around much - so I hope he figures out some kind of way to get around on his own too. I'd be totally happy with scooting.

@Danizaur: I guess J got tired of being stuck sitting in one spot and meanwhile his legs finally got enough friction on the floor to propel him somewhere. All this time he's been sitting on a blanket and I never thought to put him on the wood.

Everyone keeps telling me T is going to skip crawling but he can't pull up to start cruising or practice standing/walking. If he doesn't crawl he's gonna be stuck.

LO crawled one time then got into cruising. She rolled everywhere! Really fast in all directions!

Everyone on my side of the family - parents, uncle, cousins - skipped crawling and just started walking instead. In my husband's family, everyone crawled. B crawled, but I don't know if he got that from his dad, or it was because he had PT and the therapist encouraged it.

What did they do instead, if anything?

I (and his EI therapists) thought LO was going to just skip crawling because his reflux has made tummy time so miserable, but today I found him scooting backwards on his butt. Basically moonwalking on his butt. He's liking this way of getting around, although I'm afraid of what the friction on the wood floor will do to his feet!
