@sandy: @Corduroy: I couldn't agree more! Babies sleep differently for different people, and my LO still wants to nap with a boob! But she will crawl over to the *nanny* and signal that she is tired . . . She won't be my baby much longer (she is 12 months), so I am just gonna wait her out!

Don't have any real advice but this was me the early months. If my LO woke up a few minutes into a nap, I would want to nurse her back to sleep. My husband showed me he could just sing/shush her back to sleep. I would literally stand next to him trying to mimic the exact same movement/speed. He almost fell over laughing at me. We sleep trained shortly thereafter.

I think baby can just tell it's mama and wants to be close and won't go to bed as easily :)

How did you learn to put them down?

LO has been home sick for two days and I am exhausted. I cannot get her to take a nap except while she's in the Ergo and I am walking or standing. DH worked from home this afternoon and he got her to sleep right away. He can do it, daycare can do it, what will it take for me to be able to do it???

I don't think I have the timing/signals wrong because I frequently tell DH when she is ready for a nap. I'm holding her like DH does, bouncing her on the ball for the same amount of time at similar speed.

Is there anything else I'm not thinking of?
