Lo2 is only 3 months, but so far she's been just as easy as her big sister! I've been blessed with 2 easy going kids.

DD was neither easy nor hard. But DS is really easy. I'm sure part of it is that I've done it all once before, but also he is predictable. He eats when he is hungry, sleeps when he is tired. My daughter preferred to keep us guessing.

That old wives' tale is true for me. My oldest was an easy baby so I couldn't wait to have another! His baby sister had either colic or something like it for a while.

I've a feeling the tables will turn though, and she'll be the easier toddler...

LO1 was a difficult baby (high maintenance, bf issues, horrific sleep), but became a really easy toddler/child as soon as he started to walk.

LO2 was a dream for the first 10 months other than craptastic sleep. Now, she is becoming a defiant and opinionated toddler!

Easier, at three months. Nurses faster, which was the one really hard thing about my first baby. But otherwise is just as cheerful, easygoing, and nice to be around as my first baby was and continues to be at 4.

Ok, so here's my experience so far:

DS1 is 2, and as a newborn he was pretty easy. Was always a pretty good sleeper (but was also a light sleeper and woke up easily). He had a milk allergy and reflux so that was tough, but even then it just made him fussy - he never was a "screamer" or had colic.

In public, he's really easy most of the time to take out grocery shopping, etc. He saves all his behavior for home, lol. Right now it's hard because he's still adjusting to not being an only child anymore, so he's been acting out and having tantrums a lot more. But a lot of it is normal 2 year old stuff. He can be easygoing in some ways but challenging in other ways - he is very, very sensitive and can be *really* whiny, but I try to be understanding because I was the same way as a kid.

DS2 is only 2 weeks old, so still too young to tell! But he definitely seems more go with the flow and once he's asleep, he will literally sleep through any kind of noise (unlike my first son). I'm finding the newborn stage way easier this time around besides the sleep deprivation, but I think that's because my toddler is way harder right now.

I had the same things said to me and had the same fears because DS1 was so easy on us in every aspect...

Knock on wood... DS2 is even easier! I'm sure it's me being more relaxed, but DS2 is really a laid back, chill baby. He's a great sleeper, flexible, and weve had a great BFing journey thus far...

easier! it helped that i didn't have the FTM worries. he was a great sleeper/eater as a baby. now as a toddler hes super active so i have to keep my eye on him, but hes good natured and sweet (most of the time...) so its not bad!

He is demanding but also just because of dealing with 2 kids. He is a better sleeper but more because I had a lot of "lessons learned" and we changed somethings up. He has the same characteristics and personality as his sister.

#1 was an easy baby. Not fussy, ate well, slept well etc. #2 is 9 months old and has been even easier. I learned lots with #1, implemented that with #2 and it's been smooth sailing. I hate to jinx it and we're going for #3 now, so I'm worried my luck will run out haha

I think it depends. DS2's personality is totally different than his big brother. So in some ways he is easier and in other ways harder. But overall I think having a 2nd kid is easier.

I'm worried about this also!! DS was/is a terrible sleeper, but he was such an easy going baby. We traveled and ate out, etc with no problems. If the old wives saying the 2nd one is the opposite, oh lord have mercy. *cringe*

Both have been easy! I'm so lucky and scared to jinx it  They've both been great sleepers and eaters. The only way LO2 has been harder is the fact that he has reflux. Other than that, he's a pretty easy kid at this point (almost 3 months).

I think it's easier in that i have a lot more confidence and skill at juggling everything. T is still a pretty shitty sleeper, but so was E at 5 months old. I take things more in stride with #2 than I did with #1. You don't want there to be any self fulfilling prophecies going on, lol

My daughter is 3 and she has been a relatively calm, easygoing, healthy baby and toddler. As a baby, she slept and ate well (bf) and her cries were short. As a toddler, she does have her moments but it's not that bad.

With that being said, I'm terrified about LO2 and how he will be. Older moms at work tell me all the time, "If you're first one was easy, be prepared bc the second is not!" Thanks a lot older moms for scaring me. :bummed:

Can I get lucky with the second?
