<description>&#60;p&#62;My second was only a little bit bigger than my first, but I tore a little bit with each (both required stitches, but they weren't awful). I think I tore in the same place with the second as with the first, but to a smaller degree.&#60;br /&#62;
One thing that I think helped me tear less with the second was that I felt like I had much more control and a much better understanding of what was going on, so I did a better job of slowing down and stopping pushing as LO#2 was crowning, which helps to reduce tearing. Labor was faster, and pushing was WAY shorter (3 hours of pushing with LO#1, like 5 minutes of pushing with LO#2), and so I was a lot less tired and freaked out, and better able to follow the OB's directions about when and how hard to push.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I did tear again, but it was less than the first time, and recovery was much better. ETA I just realized you wanted to know for cases where subsequent LO was bigger.. Mine were roughly same size.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Tearing was and still is a HUGE fear of mine during delivery. DS was an IUGR baby so he came out small (4lbs 13oz). Which means LO#2 (when the time comes) will be bigger than him. Despite DS being small, I still tore.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If your LO#2 (3, 4, etc) was bigger than your first LO, did you tear more/less/same as your first?
