But once we nap trained at 8months (our third attempt at it) his naps got better!! She's still holding on to her early morning nap about 90 minutes after wake-up about 2-3 times a week but otherwise she's doing 2 naps, one about an hour the other about 2.5. Seriously it's awful he takes 4 naps most days. I always give him his first nap at home in the hopes it will at some point lengthen. Then we go out to do an activity and invariably the next nap is on the go and therefore short. 3rd nap at home again. Occasionally will take a longer nap but always naps well in the car. It doesn't seem to matter how long he is awake he naps 30-40 mins. Even if he goes down awake. My older son was like this but he had figured it out by now. So, if naps didn't consolidate by 6m when did they? </p>
