Breast stimulation is not as important as your breasts emptying. That is how your breasts know to make more. Do you have access to a manual pump? This happened to me, and I had to rent a hospital grade pump for a month to get my breasts to respond to a pump again. Try watching videos or looking at photos of your baby while pumping. Gentle breast message, warmth, and hand expression before pumping can help.

pumping still helps even if you aren't getting anything. Though if you get some through hand expression, there may be something wrong with your pump - perhaps a valve needs to be replaced or adjusted? Not sure which pump you have

Yes! It is still helping your supply because by stimulating your breasts you are telling your body to make more milk.

Ever since we stopped cosleeping with LO2 my supply has tanked, this also happened with LO1 so I was expecting it. I started taking fenugreek and blessed thistle a day or two after we sleep trained, I also pump right before I go to sleep. The past week or so I've gotten nothing from the pump, not even a drop! I'll get some milk if I hand express though so is there something wrong with my pump?? If nothing comes out, is pumping still helping my supply?
