I frequent a healthy fast food joint near work where I am obsessed with their falafel hummus salad platter. The youngish (19? 20?) woman who works there always comments about my beverage choice (once I got a diet coke and another time a black peach tea--she keeps trying to get me to get their decaf green tea). I went in the other day after not being in for a few weeks, and she looks at me and was like "YOU HAVEN'T HAD THE BABY YET!?" I was like no...if I had had the baby by now, I wouldn't be here, would be in the NICU." Ok, so I didn't say that, but I thought it--such a rude thing to say, and it DID freak me out thinking about how scary it would be if baby did come so early. I know I am just being sensitive and she is just making conversation, but I am totally with you on how annoying people can be able saying how long we have to go!
