I think if we had a girl first we would have been one and done because of the cost and investment. Whereas, we did look at gender selection for a second. Women can do everything men can do, whereas in other countries that still isn't the case... and I think there's an assumption that women will also be more likely to stick around, and they tend to be more nurturing and relational. Most women I know - IF they admitted to having a gender preference - wanted a girl, at least one. But most men I know who've been willing to share have said they wanted at least one boy. I think that's pretty common. Globally, though, I do think boys would be more often selected. </p>
