@Foodnerd81: Same. Even on-line, I just say what worked for us, but if someone (online) says they are against something and that's what we did, I just don't respond.

If it's in person and they are asking me directly, I say what worked for us, but always prefaced with "this is what worked for us specifically, but you know your baby better than anyone else".

If it's online and they specifically don't want to do something that I did, I just don't respond (unless I feel like they are missing vital info or something).

I'm guilty of suggesting it. Sometimes I just think that maybe they need a little more info about it, from what they originally say, or it's something that just really worked for me and I'll say that. Guess I'm kind of a jerk ;)

But also says they absolutely are against a certain practice (like CIO, for instance) would you still suggest to do that practice? I wonder if this happens online more than in person but I find when I see people post help questions online, some people just either don't read or they don't care and tell the person what they think, rather than something that will help.

I try to read what people are asking for and if they say they don't want to do a certain practice or don't believe in something, I don't bring it up! What do you do?
