But I don't like the word, it hurts &amp; I don't feel like I've been defeated by my challenges to get pregnant yet, until I've tried EVERYTHING (and I don't know that we will) unsuccessfully, I won't think of myself as 'infertile'. They saw it as a trial for the IVF meds so they gave me an IVF dosage of injectibles and cheered when I had 7 mature follicles. No one had bothered to test my progesterone, so I ended up having a super short LP. In retrospect I should have asked to try again, but they convinced me IVF was the only way I'd get pregnant. Isn't that the definition of infertile? But to feel completely infertile/unable to have a child, it probably would've been when we exhausted all our options (meds, IUI, 2 IVFs) and still not gotten pregnant.
