I needed to send books to someone in Canada and the prices were about double the price, plus having to worry about the delay at customs. I considered having my DH go to the post office in Canada while he was visiting Vancouver to reduce the transit time, but I went online to estimate shipping and it was $20(!) to ship. I ended up buying the books again from Amazon and having it shipped.
