My personal limit is 3 just based on the fact that I have been at a couple uterine rupture deliveries as part of the NICU resus team and they were all 4th and 5th babies.

My OB says he has done as many as 6 on one woman  and a different women, a different doctor, had 9 CSs (yep, 9, not a typo.) My dr says it's all about how much scar tissue and it's usually not an issue.

LO#2 was a scheduled emergency c-section. If we decide to have a third I would like to try for a VBAC. My doctor said it would be possible.

After the first, she said three. But the second was a vbac, so not sure if that changes the number.

I asked my doctor after my second c-section and she said three would be fine and possibly a fourth, but she would advise no more than four. I had abdominal surgeries as a child, so I want to be careful with the amount of scar tissue. It works for us anyway because we're only planning on three.

My doctor would feel comfortable with 3 c sections. I have 3 kids and 2 were c sections. First was unplanned, second baby vbac and my third I decided to have a c section during labor due to babies size.

We have reassessed after each surgery. I have healed very well with each of mine.
I hope to have my fourth and last in a couple years.
Vaginal birth isn't an option for me and we want a large family. Thankfully I have had zero complications after three sections.

2. When I got pregnant with #2 but doctor said he would do a repeat c-section with no questions if I was sure I was done at 2. If we were leanings towards 3, he would have made a strong argument for a vbac.

Our plan was always for 2 kids. I'll be getting my tubes tied with my c-section next month. Can't wait to never be pregnant again :silly: .

If you have had a CS (and will continue with RCS) how many are you and your doctor willing to do? My doctor pretty much said I should stop at 3 based on the amount of scar tissue I had after #2, originally she said no more than 4. What is your doctor's feelings on how many RCSs?

Note: I'm okay with 3 that's the max kids we want anyway so I have no hurt feelings over it & would be getting my tubes tied anyway.
