There is nothing sillier looking than a heel hanging off the end of a too small shoe, or toes that are so crammed into the end of open toes shoes, that you can see the circulation being cut off. As these have a strap that you can tighten, I'd go larger as you won't be walking out of them if you have the strap tight enough. Also, bear in mind that most women's feet get a bit wider following pregnancy (courtesy of the ligament loosening and feet spreading), so your toes might not be able to slide as far down into the shoe as they might have pre-preg. Also, fwiw, I don't think your size will make a size 9 shoe look ridiculous.
