We don't want more kids, we're too young for permanent measures, I'm nursing so the pill and charting are both out, we tried a diaphragm and didn't like it, IUDs aren't covered by our insurance and are $$$$, and condoms are a drag. I wish there was a magically awesome option! I don't want to be taking hormonal bc until menopause, and it'll be a simple enough procedure for him to endure! I've had this since February and have been A'okay. We had planned to wait for him to get snipped, but now that we know I probably have a genetic condition that makes another pregnancy a bad idea, we're 100% one and done instead of just 90%, so a permanent solution is good. We'll probably just go back to the pull out method (which we used for 8 years with no issues before TTC) until his procedure. An IUD would give you a low maintenance, longer-term option if you aren't ready for permanent measures yet. DH will be getting a vasectomy when we're done having kids though. I still feel firmly one and done, but I'm still in my 20s so I don't feel comfortable taking any permanent measures yet. What do you use if you aren't planning on more children?
