It's just it's so common where I live that people don't stop. I try to assume the best- that they are in a hurry rather than rude. Also, you are at the curb. It's not like you are just exiting the store and are not quite to the street. </p> <p>Maybe it's just me, but if someone needs to cross the street, I stop. I don't do it recklessly and slam on my breaks. Especially if there is a cross walk and it may have a stop sign.</p> <p>If I was the pedestrian and a car let a bunch of people cross ahead of me, I'll wave and let them drive. I'll wait for the next car that has to stop to cross. Sometimes I don't even get that. Maybe a bit of a pet peeve of mine. </p> <p>Oh, I didn't have kids with me this time. </p>
