I'll let them cry another 10 minutes if necessary after that. If they haven't gone to sleep by then, I do whatever I have to get them to take some amount of nap so they won't get super overtired. I'll give him another 10 minutes and if he's not settling himself down at all I'll go in and nurse him for a few minutes, and try again.
