Around 10 here too.

Last night, DS (4 years old) was put in a time out before bed...he was crying and before his time out was even over he was asleep lol. It was CIO for an older child basically. Haha.

If he's just fussing I let him go until the desire wake up time. If he is crying then ill get him after ten minutes or so because I know he won't go back to sleep.

LO is still really young, so I allow fussing but not crying. I'll go in at the first cry, but if she's just being whiny, I'll let her go for 10 mins or so. She reaaally hates naps, so there's always some fussing involved.

For naps, I'll let them cry for 10 minutes, then go pick them up, shh them, etc. and lay them back down. I'll let them cry another 10 minutes if necessary after that. If they haven't gone to sleep by then, I do whatever I have to get them to take some amount of nap so they won't get super overtired. Then, we try again at the next nap!

I am very ok with fussing, very not ok with CIO. I allow any amount of fussing that isn't turning into a big sad cry. Never more than a few minutes, and she either goes back to sleep, or gets sadder, and then I get her.

Depends.

Depends on her age, if she's sick, if we've already checked her diaper, how hard she's crying...

On a normal night, around 15-20 minutes before going in her room. This is all the while, staring at the monitor to make sure she's okay.

5-10 minutes for full out crying. But if I hear her whining and see that she is lying down then I leave her. Lately she has been rolling around and playing with her lovey for 30 min before sleeping. Then she will nap for 1.5 hours.

Depends.

If he's past nap time and overtired and I know that he really needs to sleep I'll let him go until he calms down and falls asleep.

If he's outright screaming maybe 10 minutes, then I'll give him a sip of water and find his paci (which is usually under the crib by then) and leave. I'll give him another 10 minutes and if he's not settling himself down at all I'll go in and nurse him for a few minutes, and try again. If he's still screaming I'll take him out and try again later.

If he's lying down fussing I'll let it go until he falls asleep (almost always within 10 minutes).

What is your max cry/fuss time for naps?

I think 10 minutes is my max before I give up!
