@Silva: I feel ya on that! I'm alone with DS all day -- 6am to 6pm most days so if he isn't in bed by his normal time I'm a sad, tired, pissed off mama. ;) I think we just need that time to regroup and rest up for the next day!! The weekends, on the other hand, I'm a lot more lenient on.

my situation is probably a bit different because LO is chronically nap deprived from not napping enough at daycare, but i did not wake him up from naps. even if he napped and woke up an hour before his usual bedtime, he would still go to bed at his usual bedtime.

so glad she is napping well!

@scg00387: funny because the times i didn't, i regretted it! BUT DD couldn't make it 4 hours in the beginning of the switch to 2 naps without losing her mind, so it snuck up on me that i needed to start waking her up if she slept til 5! ha.

I never let them sleep past 3:30, always wake them up to keep that 7:00 pm bedtime!

@scg00387: he gets grouchy? She did alright the past couple days when I woke her in the pm. I left her this morning and she just got up. Will see how the rest of the day goes...

@coopsmama: yeah, I've woken her at 3:30 the past couple days, but that's still given her a 2 hour pm nap! This is a new and foreign world to me! Will just do a shorter pm nap.
I'm solo at nights this week (and most of the day) and ready for bedtime by 7! I need my beer and couch time

I do. I typically don't mess with the morning nap and let him sleep as long as he wants but I will wake him by 3:30-4 to preserve bedtime at 7:00-7:30. Sometimes that means he gets a short afternoon nap but he usually does fine with that so long as his first nap was pretty long!

Do you ever wake up your kidlet from naps to preserve the schedule/ bedtime?

I had to wake her up at about 7:10 this morning. She took a while to go down for her first nap, but now it's 10:40 and if she doesn't wake up soon her afternoon nap will be pushed past 2:00.... I really don't want bedtime moving any later than 7.

Also, I'm aware of how ridiculous it is that I'm posting about my baby sleeping too much, given my long history of frantic "why won't my kid sleep" posts.
