I'm doing OK right now but I remember a couple of years ago when I was at my heaviest I was finding I was really struggling with basic stuff seeming so much harde, and I was achy and more uncomfortable. I noticed an improvement quickly with just a small uptick in exercise and about a five pounds weight loss. It's still worth mentioning to your doctor though but I don't think I'd rush in there. I'm sure your body is taxed more now with two little ones and even just the recovery time is long enough to lose muscle mass.

Yes, now that I'm pregnant and out of shape, I do feel like my legs are somewhat weak. I've started walking on my lunch break to help out with that.

@Cherrybee: your legs carry you - they are a huge muscle so yes it makes sense that your legs will be taxed if you are carrying extra weight.

I'm 2.5 stone overweight and, for the past couple of years, I've been feeling the power fading from my legs. They feel so weak now, sometimes I feel like my legs wont lift my weight + 15 week old S in her car seat up the steps to my house.

Is this normal for someone carrying extra weight and who is very unfit? Or should I mention it to my doctor?

(FYI, I have started at a slimming club and am trying to start exercise when I can. I've got a long way to go!).
