I'm planning on starting my leave on April 20 and planning on going back on Aug. 3, which will likely be 15 weeks. Because I'm in California, up to 4 weeks before birth and 12-14 weeks after birth are paid at 55%. I'll just take that last week either unpaid or with PTO. I wish I could have 6 months with him, but that's just no in the cards for us. Then I switched over to my actual mat leave, 26 weeks at 70%, 26 weeks at 55% with a supplement top up that works out to just 15$ less than I was getting at 70%. </p> <p>And then theres the UCCB, Quebec baby bonus &amp; CCTB which I count as "income" for this year to make up the difference.
