I pretty much only nurse because I find pumping and washing bottles to be super annoying. He only gets maybe one bottle a week, but so far hasn't really had much trouble.

He gets one before bedtime because I need a break! He's always been a vocarious (spelling?) Eater and by 7-8pm I'm just done.

PS: occasionally he's still hungry after the bottle so then he gets nursed, but usually he's out like a light.

@Andrea: yes at that age I would keep up with atleast one bottle every few days. I stopped bottle feeding my baby around 3 weeks and when I reintroduced the bottle at 8 weeks she rejected it for a long time

@Mrsbells: 2 weeks old. I've already given her bottles because I had to supplement with formula/pumped milk due to her jaundice for a week. I no longer have to supplement so I stopped bottles, but I want to start up again because I want to avoid a bottle strike.

@Andrea: how old is your LO?

At this point my LO is nearly 9 months so I nurse all day, but when she was younger I had to bottle feed during the day because otherwise she would refuse the bottle at daycare

We did one bottle at night (her night time bottle) because I was totally afraid of bottle rejection! She didn't have a problem with bottles when I went back to work, thank goodness!

We did a bottle at bedtime from 2 weeks on, and I pumped while he took that bottle. Then we switched to bottles for all night feedings once he was down to 2 feedings a night, I think?

I only nurse, and this is why. My girl took a bottle great at first, and then I stopped, and she never did again. Bottle rejection is real!

DH would do the bedtime bottle when I was home on maternity leave. Now that DS is with the sitter, he gets bottles all day and I nurse as much as he wants at night so DH doesn't get to feed anymore; might need to re-evaluate that plan though.

I breastfeed when I'm home. But starting at 6 weeks old, I had DH feed LO a bottle at least once every few days.

I mostly bottle feed during the day. He usually wants more milk before he passes out so I'll nurse him a bit, burp him and put him down drowsy.

If I'm out for an extended period of time during the day I'll give a bottle then. Otherwise hubs does a bottle at bed time. We try to be sure she has one a day. So far she has had no issues with the bottle.

I only nurse when it's just me. If I could find time to pump and give her a bottle I would like to do it before bed to make sure she's getting an ample amount to sleep longer.

We bottle fed her more the first month because nursing hurt so bad for me. After that I mostly nursed when DH wasn't around and he would give her bottles when he got home...maybe 1-3 bottles!

I am nursing, but I also want to give one bottle a day to avoid a bottle strike. I am not sure when I want to give her the bottle, though. I am thinking of doing half boob/ half bottle at bedtime. When do you bottle feed?
