I always associated Mother with being very reserved, almost disconnected from the children...but this woman is very loving and involved with her kids. It's actually kind of sweet to hear their little voices sing-song, "Mother, Mother!"</p> <p>I noticed on <i>Call the Midwife</i> that Chummy says Mater (Latin for Mother).</p> <p>In <i>Little Women</i>, the girls call their mother Marmee.</p> <p>Any other unusual choices? </p>
