He'll be 3 next week and he's still there :P And new little one is 6m and has joined us. I think we're going to transition him to his own room when we move in the spring. lol.

We transitioned at 11 weeks when I was going back to work because I needed better sleep. It was so hard! On me! :silly: She doesn't seem to care, but I miss her. She doesn't STTN, and I am kinda glad cause then I bring her into bed with me.

Our baby was in the bed with us until 10.5 months (last week LOL)! We tried to move him to his crib at 5 months and then again at 7 months but he was still waking several times a night to nurse, and it was just too hard for me... I was kind of embarrassed about bedsharing for awhile but it was really the best way to maximize sleep for all of us. We just successfully transitioned him to his crib and sleep trained and he surprised us by sleeping through the night! It is awesome. I will probably do it again with our next baby if breastfeeding goes as well as it did this time - and I will chill the F out about bedsharing.

With both of ours, we always started the night in their own bed - whether in our room or theirs - and would take them to bed when they woke MOTN. We basically left it up to them when they were ready to stop co sleeping. LO1 started STTN in his room shortly after LO2 was born. I don't think he liked being woken up by him! So I think around 20 - 21 months. LO2 started sleeping in his crib consistently around 2 years. When he first started STTN I would wake up, waiting for him to call for me to bring him to bed and would barely sleep half the night! I miss his snuggles during the night!

With my first, about 18 months to prepare for the arrival of a sibling. With my second, we don't have the room to move him out (living with inlaws) so it could be a long, long time.

@Jackiedavis87: commenting to follow. DS was in the halo in our room until six months when he outgrew it. Now he's in our bed. Never took the travel pnp we have in there. He's almost eight months. I'm just not going to worry about it. We're all happy and I'm sure the stage where he wants to sleep with us will be over before we know it :/

I transitioned LO over a few nights around 7-8 weeks old into his own crib; however I sleep on the floor every night next to him. Now that my new bed has arrived I will sleep in my own room and finally use the baby monitor. I am not looking forward to that transition even though I will be just a room away.

Started at 8 months when we went to put her in the crib, and she would wake up screaming bloody murder. I had a huge case I was working on, so started putting her in our bed just so I could get some rest! Here we are at 14 months old, and now I can't sleep without her lol. I think first of the year so about 19 months or so we will move her.

I moved them to a cosleeper when they were rolling around three months and then into a crib in the nursery around five months when they were pushing up/sitting/crawling. Once they were mobile I couldn't get enough restful sleep without worrying they were crawling off the bed.

We are compromising currently, she's 21 months and we've been doing this since 15 months. She starts the night in her room and we bring her to our room when she wakes up between 12&1. She's a lousy sleeper so this option seems to give us all the maximum amount of sleep right now, plus I still enjoy having her in bed with me.

I get it! I am totally hooked on bed sharing. We started around 4 months full time and now and then I can put him down on a thin floor mattress in his room, with the intent of transitioning. But he just sleeps so well on our bed, even when we aren't there! I figure try do his floor bed now and then and once bed sharing isn't working for us, I'll do the full time transition.

We exclusively coslept until she was 8 weeks old, then transferred her to her crib in her room. But if she was sick, we went back to cosleeping and then for awhile she would end up in our bed after a MOTN feeding because we would both fall asleep.

When did you move them either, to thier own room, or to something else in your room? We moved DS crib into our bedroom but I'm still having trouble putting him in it, sadly it's me not him lol. I feel at this point he'll be ready to sleep in his own bed before I'm ready for him to. He's 7 months old.
