I knew I was warned thar my body would adapt and atart producing more, but I'd had enough of 8 months of poor nursing, so I started suplementing with formula. I had really crazy eczema and it was getting so bad I needed steroid cream. My husband could take one week off right before he turned one. So we planned for him to take care of our son for that week while I steroided it up and healed. I don't remember what it feels like to not have the extra hormonal/physical load of supporting 2 lives.
